CMP's NECEC Corridor is a terrible idea. It will destroy pristine wilderness to create a profit-machine for multinational corporations. The people of Maine need to let our public officials know that we do not want this corridor in our state.

Sign below to join our coalition to Stop the Corridor!

We the people of Maine value our natural resources and our way of life. Central Maine Power and their foreign parent company have proposed a massive destructive pathway through our woods in order to bring high-voltage transmission lines to Massachusetts. Central Maine Power has shown itself as untrustworthy and not up to the task of such a large and potentially damaging project, and we hereby call on CMP, the state of Massachusetts, and Maine's regulators and elected officials to put an end to this project immediately.

If this CMP Corridor is approved, it will damage the State of Maine forever! Maine citizens believe in our State and all that it means and all that it is, this Corridor will destroy our environment and the environment of many different species that Maine will never be able to recover from! We, the citizens of Maine, need to defeat this proposal and not allow politicians to decide what is best for our State, that should be left up to the Voters of Maine!

People of Maine remember CMP is owned by a out of state company Avangrid www.avangrid.com. These people don’t care one bit about the real Maine! It’s corporate greed and nothing else. Let Massachusetts solve there energy problems some other way. Tell them to put up wind turbine towers on the cape from the Bourne bridge to Provincetown and see how they like it. I have been coming to Maine for over sixty years, owned a camp and nine acres in Phillips since 1990 and can directly trace my family back to the late1700’s on Monhegan Island. To see Maine become more like southern New England, would be a crime! The state of Maine, like the people of Maine, is a unique and beautiful place. Please don’t let them spoil it. Money and corporate greed will bring nothing but trouble.
