CMP's NECEC Corridor is a terrible idea. It will destroy pristine wilderness to create a profit-machine for multinational corporations. The people of Maine need to let our public officials know that we do not want this corridor in our state.

Sign below to join our coalition to Stop the Corridor!

We the people of Maine value our natural resources and our way of life. Central Maine Power and their foreign parent company have proposed a massive destructive pathway through our woods in order to bring high-voltage transmission lines to Massachusetts. Central Maine Power has shown itself as untrustworthy and not up to the task of such a large and potentially damaging project, and we hereby call on CMP, the state of Massachusetts, and Maine's regulators and elected officials to put an end to this project immediately.

Please, do not do this. Maine is a beacon of hope for the natural world. There really is no where else on Earth that is like Maine. No place is as wild, untouched, or ecologically diverse. Our world is drastically changing day by day as human populations continue to grow and more and more of critical habitat is developed. Think about how you want your children’s children to grow up. Don’t you want them to go hunt for grouse? Or to see a moose? Or to eat fresh fish from the ocean? Or to hear a loon call echo across a pond fully encompassed by pristine wilderness? Think about the generations to come. If we take this away from them now, they will never know of wilderness. Our children NEED wild spaces. They NEED Maine, and they NEED it untouched.

With modern technology there must be a better way than to tear through precious land and disrupt wildlife!

They need to find a different state to cut their corridor through. I’m amazed that they are filing a lawsuit against the state just because we oppose the corridor – those greedy turds.

We, the people of Maine, keep saying NO over and over again…WE DO NIT WANT THIS!
  • Dana Callan
We the People of Maine have CLEARLY indicated we are NOT in favor of this, and WE are in charge, NOT wealthy power companies.

Furthermore, the conduct of the corporation attempting to coerce this into fruition has engaged in despicable, scurrilous tactics such as hiring private investigators to follow and monitor those who organize opposition. Deepest shame on you.

Maine says HELL NO to your damn corridor!
